Since our inception the Foundation has been seeking donations and fundraising to support our goal of preserving and promoting our cultural heritage.
Donations have come from individual and corporate donations and sponsorships, including:
- GBU donations and matching funds donations, and the AmazonSmile charity donation program.
- Memorial contributions.
- Two charitable fundraising raffles were held last summer.
As a result of this income the Foundation has been able to financially support the following cultural groups, events and programs:
- Our local choirs’ travel to the 2023 National Saengerfest in Madison, WI
- Sending representatives to the Danube Swabian Association Verband meeting in Cincinnati, OH
- The Carpathia Kickers youth soccer program
- The Carpathia Blasmusikanten - a traditional German brass band
- The first donation went to the Carpathia Jugendgruppe (youth group) for their performance tour and cultural exchange program to Europe in 2022
In 2021 and 2022 the Foundation hosted a traditional Kirchweih celebration at Carpathia Club. This annual event brought participants from throughout the Midwest to join in the dance program and festivities.
